Three of West Michigan's hottest bands are sure to make OURCONCERT an evening to remember.

Jake Kershaw

OURCONCERT is proud to welcome 19-year-old guitar phenom, Jake Kershaw, as our headliner.

Jake, an Albion native, has a list of musical accomplishments artists twice his age would be proud to call their own. He has had the privilege of sharing the stage with great performers like Jonny Lang, Anthony Gomes, Larry McCray, Albert Cummings, Walter Trout and has opened twice for Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Tommy Castro, Bernard Allison, Marcus King, Samantha Fish and Tab Benoit.

Jake recorded and released his first album, Piece of My Mind, in the summer of 2017 when he was just 16-years old. Earlier that year, he was honored with his first endorsement from Heritage Guitars as a Young Artist. He has since been endorsed by companies such as Lizard Spit, Jobe Tone Pickups, Apex Strings, and Medina Made guitar straps. Jake has also won a “Jammie Award” from Western Michigan’s WYCE radio for “Listener’s Choice Best Album by a New Artist” and “2018 Emerging Artist of the Year.”

Five Strand Fusion

Five Strand Fusion is one of West Michigan’s newest – and one of its youngest – musical super-groups. Founded in 2019 by Grand Haven musical activist, Dave Palmer, Five Strand Fusion represents a collection of some of West Michigan’s most talented young performers. Their performance at OURCONCERT will cap off almost a year of practice, song writing, learning the business of music and a number of live performances. With electrifying musicianship and a hardcore following of band “Super Fans,” Five Strand Fusion will deliver a next level performance at OURCONCERT.

Stone Soup and The Broken Teeth

Stone Soup is an old folk story in which hungry strangers convince the people of a town to each share a small amount of their food in order to make a meal that everyone enjoys. The seven members of Stone Soup have combined and done just that with their music. With varying backgrounds from country and western swing, to rock, blues, funk and soul, they are crafting a new sound that is shaking up the Midwest from their home base in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Coming off their first well-received CD, Simmering, Stone Soup is known for thoughtful original songwriting, unique arrangements and energetic live performances. The band features lead vocalist Nathan Walton, auditionee for ABC's 'American Idol' Season 3. Stone Soup placed second in last year’s Walk The Beat and was a featured performer in the 2019 Coast Guard Festival Parade.
